एक चैनल के साथ एक ख़ास बातचीत में उन्होने कहा, “भारत जिस दिशा में जा रहा है, भारत का खेल, कल्चर, अध्यात्म, धीरे-धीरे पूरे विश्वा पटल पर छा रहा है. समय का ये संयोग देखिए की अब योग भी पूरे विश्वा मे भारत का स्वीकृत हुआ है और अब ये लगभग 200 देशों मे सेलेब्रेट होता है. और इसी प्रकार से ओलंपिक की तरफ भी हमारे जो नौजवान गये हैं तो उन लोगों का जो मान, उत्साह ओर उमंग है वो देखने से ही पता लग रहा है की क्या बात है. पूरे देश का आशीर्वाद है उनके साथ. सब उनकी हौंसला अफज़ाई कर रहे हैं. हमारे यहाँ तो एक से एक गुणी हुए ही है. ”हर भारतीय की तरह ओलंपिक में मेडल की आशा व्यक्त करते हुए उन्होने कहा, “भगवान भोले नाथ से ये प्रार्थना करता हूँ की श्रावण के दिन हैं और सावन मे श्रवण कुमार हमारे भारत के पूरे विश्वा मे प्रसिद्ध हैं. पूरा भारत अब यही मन्नत माँग रहा है की आप टोकियो, जापान की धरती से अपने आप को स्वस्थ रखते हुए, भारत का पूरा मान बढ़ाते हुए एक से एक मेडल जीत कर लायें और बहुत नाम कमायें.”
